How to Make Oreo Mummy Cookies

  1. Once the dipped Oreos have set, drizzle additional melted white chocolate back and forth over each cookie to create the mummy bandages. Leave a small open space around the candy eyes so they peek through.

  1. Add two candy eyes toward the top of each cookie before the chocolate completely sets. Let the mummy Oreos sit until the chocolate is completely set, then serve and enjoy!

Tips

  • Dip them first: Make sure the Oreos are completely covered with white chocolate before adding the mummy bandages. This gives them a cleaner finished look.
  • Don’t make them perfect: Uneven drizzle lines actually make the cookies look more like mummy bandages!
  • Add the eyes early: Add the candy eyes while the first layer of chocolate is still soft so they stay securely in place.

Storage

Store Oreo Mummy Cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. Keep them in a cool, dry place so the chocolate doesn’t soften or melt.

FAQs

Can I use white chocolate chips?

You can, but white chocolate melting wafers or candy melts are usually easier to work with because they melt more smoothly and set more firmly.

Can I make Oreo Mummy Cookies ahead of time?

Yes! These are a great Halloween treat to make ahead. Once the chocolate has completely set, store the cookies in an airtight container until you’re ready to serve them.

How do I drizzle the mummy bandages?

You can drizzle the melted white chocolate with a spoon or place it in a piping bag or zip-top bag and snip a very small piece from the corner. Drizzle it back and forth across the cookie, leaving the candy eyes visible.
