Oreo Dip Variations

  • Double stuffed Oreo dip: Use different flavors of Oreos or Double Stuf for an even richer and creamier Oreo dip.
  • Peanut butter Oreo dip: Mix in a few tablespoons of peanut butter for a sweet and salty twist.
  • Mint Oreo dip: Use mint Oreos for a refreshing variation that’s perfect for holidays.

Why This Oreo Dip Works

This delicious recipe stands out because it uses just the right balance of ingredients to create a smooth, fluffy cream cheese mixture that isn’t overly sweet. The combination of cream cheese and Cool Whip makes this a creamy dip that’s light but still rich.

Crushing the Oreos into fine crumbs helps distribute the cookies evenly throughout the dip, giving you that perfect cookies and cream flavor in every bite.

Crushed Oreos being stirred into cream cheese mixture in a silver mixing bowl.
  1. Crush the Oreo cookies using a food processor or place them in a bag and crush with a rolling pin until you have fine crumbs. Gently stir the crushed cookies into the cream cheese mixture, saving a few for topping. Transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle extra crushed Oreos on top before serving.

Expert Tips

  • Use room temperature cream cheese: This helps create a smooth dip without lumps.
  • Crush Oreos evenly: Using fine crumbs helps distribute the flavor throughout the dip.
  • Chill before serving: Let the dip sit in the fridge for about 30 minutes to help it set.
  • Don’t overmix: Stir gently to keep the texture light and fluffy.
